Up for auction is a yellow 1994 HME Pumper fire truck. This 1994 HME Pumper served as the first due Engine for the department for 15 years before moving to 2nd due and eventually spare engine status. The apparatus passed Massachusetts State Inspection and pump testing to the NFPA standard within the last seven months. It has 42,640 miles on it and features a 50-gallon water tank and Elkhart Class B 40-gallon foam tank.
All of the proceeds from this auction will go right back to the East Longmeadow Fire Department. These funds can be used to buy new water hoses, another vehicle, helmets, and other essentials that the fire department needs to fight fires and save the lives of those in dire situations.
