COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County Police Department K-9 helped locate and arrest a commercial burglary suspect after a brief pursuit, FOX 5 Atlanta reported.
Video released by the department shows K-9 Ace “gearing up” with a protective vest before jumping out of a cruiser to track the suspect.
“Cobb Police K-9, announce yourself!” the officer can be heard saying as Ace leads him into a wooded area.
Eventually, Ace leads officers to a garage. The suspect was found hiding and was taken into custody without further incident.
“Good boy, good job buddy!” the officer says as he loads Ace back into the cruiser.
Officials highlighted the footage as an example of the coordination between police handlers and their K-9 partners in law enforcement operations, according to the report.
