Get hot chocolate from famed chocolatier at Mass. airport for limited time

Those traveling through Boston can add grabbing a cup of hot chocolate from an award-winning chocolatier to their itinerary.

L.A. Burdick has landed at Boston Logan International Airport for the first time ever.

The renowned chocolatier has a pop-up located inside Terminal C for a limited time.

From now through March 3, travelers can pick up one of L.A. Burdick’s famous creations — including the brand’s milk, white or dark drinking chocolate.

The stand also offers L.A. Burdick’s signature Burdick Cookies and Cookie Tarts, in addition to Chocolate Mice and Penguins.

Specific to the pop-up are the Chocolate Ducks, which are inspired by Boston’s beloved Make Way for Ducklings statue.

For a limited time, the stand’s selection will include L.A. Burdick’s seasonal Valentine’s Day Collection and the Year of the Horse Collection. In addition to several other chocolates inspired by the flavors and festivities of the Lunar New Year, this collection features Burdick’s new horse-shaped chocolate.

“We welcome this new opportunity to delight chocolate lovers who may have missed us in town or are discovering us for the first time,” Michael Klug, L.A. Burdick’s head chocolatier, said in a press release. “Whether it’s a luscious cup of hot chocolate, our signature Chocolate Mice or an exquisite journey through one of our chocolate assortments, our handcraftsmanship has long been beloved by Bostonians and chocolate enthusiasts worldwide.”

L.A. Burdick is a celebrated chocolatier known for its artisanal approach to chocolate-making, whimsical creations and longstanding use of quality ingredients. The company was founded in 1987 by chocolatier Larry Burdick, whom the company bills as “a pioneer of fine chocolates in America,” according to its website.

Headquartered in Walpole, New Hampshire, L.A. Burdick has been making its Swiss chocolate creations by hand for nearly 40 years. The institution has earned international praise from outlets such as Time Out, Food & Wine, and Bloomberg.

In addition to the pop-up, L.A. Burdick’s Massachusetts storefronts are in Boston, Brookline and Cambridge. The brand has additional locations in Chicago, New York City, Washington D.C. and Walpole, New Hampshire.

L.A. Burdick’s pop-up at Logan Airport is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
