The DunKings are back with a new lineup featuring legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick, Oscar-winning actor Casey Affleck and Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Strong.
After Dunkin’ and Ben Affleck introduced The DunKings in 2024, the popular group returned this year with a new commercial that aired during Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9.
In the commercial, Ben Affleck rallies his team as The DunKings compete in the coveted Java Jam against The Drip Squad, The Burger Chain Gang and The Barista Buds.
As The Barista Buds make its entrance into Java Jam, they are greeted with a snarky remark from Belichick.
“Sounds like what’s in my garbage disposal,” the former New England Patriots coach said in response to the group describing an intricate drink.
“How much to wait a half hour to get my named spelled wrong on the cup,” Ben Affleck questioned the group.
Casey then piggybacks off his brother’s comment by saying, “nobody wants an oat milk, double half-cafe, soy milk cap. You can just brew it as beans and water.”
However, more of the story is shown in the full advertisement, called “DunKings 2: The Movie.”
Strong, who appears as Paul Revere, finds his character by fully immersing himself in Dunkin’ coffee before Java Jam.
As he’s “listening to the beans,” Strong reveals his epiphany by saying, “Dunkin’ is Boston. Boston is Paul Revere.”
Strong’s appearance at Java Jam causes fans to erupt in cheers and end the rivalry, leading Ben Affleck to affectionately say that “Dunkin’s for all of you’s.”
