SPRINGFIELD — The father of a woman who died after eating a pizza at a Northampton restaurant is mounting a lawsuit in Hampden Superior Court.
Highbrow Wood Fired Kitchen & Bar on Crafts Avenue in Northampton fed Kierstin “Kiki” Hedin, of Keene, New Hampshire, a pizza the plaintiff argues contained dairy products despite her warning that she must be served a pizza with dairy-free cheese because of a severe allergy.
“Kierstin had a life-threatening and severe dairy allergy and had been under the care of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center since she was three years old,” a court filing by her father’s attorneys read.
