
CHICOPEE — Chicopee’s municipal flags were at half-staff Monday after the death of Robert “Bob” Zygarowski, the vice president of the City Council, on Sunday. He was 80.
Zygarowski, a former Chicopee police officer turned tenured city councilor, had served on the board since being elected in 2003. He was a resident of the city since 1975 and had a deep affection for it, according to those who knew him.
