Many Red Sox fans were tuning into some West Coast action on Tuesday night to catch a glimpse of Rafael Devers in a San Fransisco uniform.
Devers made his Giants debut against the Guardians at Oracle Park in San Fransisco and went 2-for-5 with an RBI-double in a 3-2 loss.
“My first at-bat, obviously I was a little bit nervous because of the ovation,” Devers said, though translator Erwin Higueros. “I wasn’t expecting that. You know what? Afterwards, I felt a little bit more comfortable and it was great to see the fans welcoming me that way.”
