Catholic Conference Boys Hockey Rankings: Xaverian and St. John’s Prep remain undefeated

Game of the Week: Xaverian at Saint John’s on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m.

Through seven games, the Xaverian Hawks have had very little trouble on the ice. They’ve won all but one of their contests by multiple goals and sit at No. 1 in the first Catholic Conference boys hockey rankings.

Right behind them are the Knights who responded to a loss to the Pioneers on Saturday with a 2-0 win over the Hingham Harbormen on Monday.

St. John’s Prep, the only other undefeated team in the conference comes in at No. 3 this week. In fourth are the Pioneers who have won four games in a row and face off with the Eagles on Wednesday.

Sitting at No. 5 are the other Eagles, BC High. After starting the year 1-2, BC high has won three games in a row.

Malden Catholic is No. 6 this week but does have a win over Masconomet and a tie with Pope Francis.
