Another week at the top for Walpole.
The Timberwolves remain undefeated as they march toward another berth in the Division II state tournament later this spring. The program’s closest game so far came in its 14-10 win over Reading in early April. The team has scored at least 13 goals in all of its games and scored 20 or more in four of its games so far this season.
Walpole’s next biggest challenge will come on May 9 when the program plays the reigning state champion, Notre Dame Academy – Hingham.
Newton North has continued to impress with its season this spring. The Tigers finished last spring 13-7. With five games to go this season, they are 8-1 and the No. 7 team in Division I statewide, according to the latest divisional power rankings from the MIAA.
The program’s biggest test before the end of the regular season will be on May 13 when the team plays Wellesley at home.
Braintree was the biggest climber in this week’s rankings.
The Wamps have won back to back games against Pembroke and Brookline following a one-goal loss against Natick on May 1.
The team will put its recent run of good play up against Wellesley on Thursday on the road.
