During the COVID-19 pandemic, the mother-daughter duo of Michelle and Martika Mercer, like everyone else, had nothing to do. But they decided they wouldn’t spend their time idly.
“We were together. We were at home and we were like, ‘this is an opportunity now,’” Martika said recently while working their vendor booth at the Farmers Market at Forest Park in Springfield.
