Mass. school bus driver assaulted person who saw him crash, police say

A Millis school bus driver is facing criminal charges after police say he pushed a witness after the bus he was driving crashed Wednesday afternoon.

Mamdouh Abdelnour, 63, is charged with assault and battery, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, and improper turn, Millis Police said in a statement posted to Facebook. He is on administrative leave while an investigation into the crash is conducted.

On Wednesday afternoon, Millis police received a report that the bus hit several trash bins and bushes while attempting a three-point turn on Village Street with 48 students from the Clyde Brown Elementary School on board, the department said. No one was injured in the crash.
