Fair basics
Tickets: Entry to the fair is $20 for an adult. Children under the age of 13 are $12. You can buy tickets online in advance. The fair is also offering a 17-day pass for $70.
Hours: Gates open at 8 a.m. The Big E Bakery opens at 9. And the buildings are open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Although Midway is open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays. It is open rain or shine.
Parking: The ground’s parking is cash only and costs $10. The Big E warns there are no ATMs close to Gate 9, so plan accordingly. Motorcycles can park for $5.
Other rules: No pets are allowed, unless they are service dogs. Cannabis is not allowed. No weapons are allowed on the grounds. Metal detectors are used at every entrance gate and bags are subject to search.
