Three women were treated after they were all struck by a person with a broken bottle at a nightclub in Worcester on Sunday, police said Friday.
At around 2:18 a.m., officers went to the area of 41 Pleasant St. over a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon, Worcester police spokesperson Lt. Sean Murtha said in a statement obtained by MassLive.
The address corresponds with that of Creed Lounge, close to where Pleasant Street intersects with Main Street and Front Street, across from City Hall.
Officers learned that three women were struck with a broken bottle, Murtha said. The women went to the hospital before officers arrived. The women, two 20-year-olds and one 21-year-old, were treated there.
Detectives were called to the scene to investigate. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.eed
