WEST SPRINGFIELD — In its second year, Hooplandia took over great portions of the Eastern States Exposition with more than 50 mini basketball courts scattered around the grounds, two regulation-sized courts laid out between the Coliseum and the Brooks buildings and still more indoor courts in the Mallary Complex and the Young Building, ready for the Mayor’s Cup competition Friday night.
A three-day celebration of basketball, Big E’ers call it “The Northeast’s Ultimate 3X3 Basketball Tourney and Festival.” It includes clinics for kids with youth coaches to help the budding players, food, entertainment and special guests.
