A Middlesex Superior Court jury on Monday found two men guilty in the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man outside the Karma Lounge in 2019, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office announced.
Charles Demos, 33, of Rochester, New Hampshire, and David Landry, 35, of Everett, were both convicted of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm. Landry was also convicted on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. Demos and Landry will be sentenced on Aug. 8.
On Sept. 21, 2019, Demos and Landry were standing outside of the Karma Lounge on Ferry Street in Everett. When Jarrod Harris, of Everett, exited the club around 1 a.m., both men confronted him and physically attacked him, according to Ryan’s office. Harris attempted to distance himself from both men, but they continued to escalate the fight. During the fight, Landry pulled out a knife and attempted to slash Harris while Demos ran to his car in search of a gun.
