Offense pushed Chicopee softball to a 20-8 win over Chicopee Comp on Monday afternoon.
After going scoreless in the first inning, the Pacers started to tack on the runs in the second inning. In the third and fifth innings, Chicopee totaled 15 runs alone.
Throughout the game, the Pacers had 12 hits compared to Chicopee Comp’s five hits.
Jordyn Kazeroid led the Pacers offense with five RBIs, going 2-for-2 with a walk, hitting a triple. The top of the lineup also stood strong with Julianna Renfer, Aviah Blankenship and Kali Riley each having two RBIs.
Chicopee improved to 5-2, taking on McCann Tech next on Wednesday, April 23 at 4:00 p.m. Chicopee Comp dropped to 1-9, taking on Drury on the road on the same date and time.
