It took nearly three years but McCann Tech finally earned their first varsity girls lacrosse win in school history.
The Hornets earned the milestone on senior night Thursday, beating Smith Voc. 8-6.
It was one of McCann’s seniors who played the hero against the vikings. Gabby Wells-Vidal finished with five goals in the victory.
Also scoring for the Hornets were Jordyn Lloyd, Aliza Rozon, and Taylor Ziemba. In net, it was junior Emily Raschdorf who kept McCann in the contest, stopping eight shots.
The Hornets have a chance to follow up their historic feat with another win on Friday when they host Monson at 4 p.m.
