Sammy Ikonomidis didn’t get much of a chance to settle in as she and the Longmeadow field hockey team opened its season Tuesday.
The keeper was under duress all game long against Frontier Regional, but kept her composure by stopping 16 shots to back the Lancers to narrow 3-2 win at home.
