After being tied at the half, Lenox found themselves down by one goal headed into the fourth quarter against Wahconah. Both team’s matched each other’s competitiveness on the field as no lead had grown larger than one goal.
But, in the last quarter, the Millionaires (5-3) found a spark and outscored the Warriors (1-4) 3-1 to secure the narrow 7-6 victory.
Luke Gamberoni fueled Lenox’s attack, scoring a hat trick in the contest. The senior currently leads the Millionaires in goals with 16.
Oliver Kirby also netted two goals and grabbed one assist for Lenox. In net for the Millionaires was Jeffrey Larmon with 11 saves.
Both teams will see the field again on Saturday, April 19. Lenox will face McCann Technical at 1 p.m. and Wahconah will play Columbia at 12:30 p.m.
