In West Springfield’s fifth win of the season, and second against Ludlow, the Terriers’ Jack Reed provided an assist to each goal scorer.
Jack Therrien and Micheal Spaulding were the two recipients of Reed’s assists to win 2-1 against the Lions.
In net, Spartans goaltender Rylan Hurt made 28 saves during the contest, only allowing one in, Ludlow’s sole goal of the day.
The Lions’ goal Monday came from Nick Deroin who was assisted by teammates William Titus and Andrew Lambert.
In goal for Ludlow was Peter LeBorgne, who made eight saves during the contest.
West Springfield will look for its third straight win when it travels to face Westfield on Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. Ludlow is next on the ice to also face Westfield. Its game is scheduled for Jan. 22 at 8:30 p.m.
