With Hampus Lindholm back, Bruins make unexpected lineup decision

BOSTON — After the Bruins sat David Pastrnak for a little less than half a period, he responded with two goals the next game.

When Casey Mittelstadt was benched for a game, he responded with one of his best games for Boston.

Marco Sturm is hoping the same applies to Mason Lohrei.

With Hampus Lindholm back in the Bruins lineup after being activated earlier on Tuesday, Lohrei will take a seat with Jonathan Aspriot making his NHL debut.

“We expect more from him, and sometimes we have to press that reset button. And it’s not like we want to bury him,” Sturm said. “No, I want to help him, and that’s part of the process. And again, you get some good things, but too many mistakes lately.”

Joonas Korpisalo will be in goal for the Bruins on the second night of the back-to-back.
