Blustery and cold conditions will persist across Massachusetts on Friday as forecasters monitor incoming snow bands this weekend.
While the wind advisory has subsided, forecasters predict winds ranging between 25-35 mph with up to 40 mph gusts, according to the National Weather Service.
Despite sunny skies statewide, temperature highs will range from the mid-20s in the Berkshires — where wind chills will be -5, forecasters say — to 30 degrees in Worcester, 33 in Springfield and Boston and 34 on Cape Cod & the Islands.
Overnight, temperatures will drop into the teens across most of the state and the 20s along the coastline. These are expected to rebound during the day on Saturday to 29 in the Berkshires, the high 30s in Springfield, Worcester and Boston and above 40 on Cape Cod.
However, forecasters say snow may be on the way for parts of the state on Saturday night. The snow may begin in the Berkshires during the day on Saturday and pick back up by 1 a.m. The flakes will hit Springfield by 2 a.m., then Worcester and Boston by 3 a.m.
Little to no accumulations are expected from the snow showers statewide, forecasters say, though roads could be left slick on Sunday morning.
Another round of ocean-effect snow could roll in for a few hours to Cape Cod and Nantucket on Sunday night, potentially adding another 1 to 2 inches of accumulation in those areas.
Temperatures are expected to plummet to the 20s statewide by Monday morning, with wind chills ranging from 5 below zero to 10 above.
