A couple of ranked Big Ten squads are starting off their weekends at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich., where the No. 24 USC Trojans are visiting the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines on Friday, Jan. 2.

Michigan is 12-0 and 2-0 in the Big Ten with blowouts over Rutgers and Maryland. The last time out for the Wolverines was a 112-71 beatdown of McNeese in which six Michigan players scored in double figures, led by Morez Johnson Jr. with 24 and 11 rebounds. Yaxel Lendeborg added 16 points and eight boards and Aday Mara chipped in 13, six rebounds and five assists while Nimari Burnett added 12. Off the bench, Trey McKenney went for 13 and Roddy Gayle Jr. had 10.
USC is 12-1 and hasn’t played since Dec. 21, when it ran through UC Santa Cruz, 102-63. In early December the squad dropped a conference matchup with Washington, 84-76, as 21 points, six rebounds and two blocks from Chad Baker-Mazara and 1y points from Jordan Marsh wasn’t enough. Jerry Easter II added 12 and two steals as well, but the Trojans blew an 18-point halftime advantage.
