It’s a battle of undefeateds on Monday, Nov. 24 when the Syracuse Orange challenge the No. 3 Houston Cougars at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Syracuse is fresh off its close game, a 78-73 victory over Monmouth. The Orange had a balanced scoring outfit with seven players scoring at least 7 points, including Kiyan Anthony, who had 7, and William Kyle III, who had 7, seven rebounds and three blocks. Donnie Freeman was the team’s leading scorer with 18, also grabbing seven boards. Naithan George went for 12 points, nine assists, six boards and two steals. Nate Kingz and J.J. Sterling combined for 26 on 10-for-18 shooting with Kingz connecting on three 3-pointers.
Houston is a little more than a week removed from a 73-72 win over No. 21 Auburn. Its only game last week was a 91-45 blowout against Rider. Milos Uzan was the only starter who fell short of scoring at least 12 points, and he finished with 8 to go with a game-high six assists. Chase McCarty also went for 8 and six off the bench, but his six was rebounds, and he also added two steals, one less than fellow bench contributor Mercy Miller, who had 14 points. Joseph Tugler had 12 points, nine boards, four blocks and three steals while Chris Cenac Jr. also chipped in 12 points. Kingston Glemings and Emanuel Sharp were the top two scorers in the contest with 18 and 15, respectively, while the duo also dished out five assists each and combined for three steals.
