The second NBA Cup Semifinal matchup on Saturday, Dec. 13 features the league’s most exciting team and the return of the league’s most exciting player as the Oklahoma City Thunder take on the San Antonio Spurs at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
This NBA Cup Semifinal game is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on Prime Video. Fans looking to watch this game can do so on Prime Video, which offers a free trial and access to exclusive NBA games as well as plenty of other content, including WNBA and Thursday Night Football NFL games, tons of documentaries across sports and a plethora of tv shows and movies.
This is the first of five matchups between Dec. 13 and Feb. 4 and the first of three between Dec. 13 and Christmas between these squads. Saturday’s game is notable not just because the 24-1 Thunder are looking to get back to the NBA Cup Final and avenge last year’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, but it will also feature Victor Wembanyama playing his first game in a month.
The Spurs were able to survive without Wembanyama against Luka Doncic, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday in the NBA Cup Quarterfinals. Stephon Castle led the way in the 132-119 victory with 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. De’Aaron Fox added 20 points and two steals and Harrison Barnes and Luke Kornet combined for 26 points. Off the bench, Keldon Johnson had 17 points and eight rebounds, Julian Champagnie had 16 and seven boards and Dylan Harper added 13.
The Thunder annihilated the Phoenix Suns, 138-89 in their Quarterfinal contest. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren combined for 52 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, four blocks and two steals, while Cason Wallace had four steals, and Jalen Williams added 15 points, five boards and five assists. Luguentz Dort had 12 points, and Branden Carlson and Ousmane Dieng both had 11 off the bench.
