South Carolina’s struggles were compounded last week when quarterback LaNorris Sellers exited in the first quarter with a concussion. Reports indicate Sellers returned to practice Wednesday, but he remains questionable on the official SEC injury report heading into Saturday’s game.
The Gamecocks’ offensive woes extend beyond the quarterback position. Through three weeks, they’ve allowed eight sacks (ranking 114th nationally) and 20 tackles for loss (109th). Their offense hasn’t scored more than 17 points in a game since facing Wofford in 2024, a streak of five consecutive games.
Last year’s matchup between these teams featured a dramatic finish, with South Carolina scoring a go-ahead touchdown with just 15 seconds remaining when Raheim Sanders broke free for a 15-yard score. The Gamecocks had led 21-6 earlier in that contest before Missouri rallied.
