The Top team in the country is visiting an undefeated conference foe on Saturday, Sept. 27 as the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes visit the Washington Huskies at Husky Stadium in Seattle where both teams will open Big Ten play for 2025.

The 3-0 Buckeyes were off last week, but the week prior they picked up a 37-9 win over Ohio. They have allowed only two touchdowns and one field goal so far this season and are tied with No. 25 BYU entering this week for the best scoring defense in the nation. On the offensive end, Ohio State has a trio of running back—Bo Jackson, CJ Donaldson and James Peoples—who have combined for 494 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Julian Sayin has 779 passing yards, eight scores and three interceptions with the bulk of the work going to the dynamic receiving duo of Jeremiah Smith (20 catches for 315 yards and three touchdowns) and Carnell Tate (12 catches for 219 yards and three touchdowns).
Washington’s defense has not been the fiercest, but its offense is 10th in yards per game and the Huskies are scoring the most points per game in the nation at 55.7. Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. is at the center of the Huskies’ balanced approach as he’s thrown for 778 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for an additional 220 yards and two more scores. Running back Jonah Coleman has 347 yards and nine scores on the ground and wide receiver Denzel Boston has twice as many catches as anybody else on the team with 16 for 249 yards and was the recipient of half of Williams’ touchdowns.
