The Warriors are 15-15 and playing on Christmas for the 13th straight year. They are coming of a big 120-97 win over the Orlando Magic that was most remembered for Draymond Green and coach Steve Kerr having a verbal altercation on the bench early in the third quarter that led to Green going to the locker room for the remainder of the quarter and sitting out the entire fourth after returning to the bench. Stephen Curry led the team with 26 points and six assists to go with a pair of steals while Jimmy Butler III had 21 and Moses Moody chipped in 20 and two blocks.

The Mavericks are only 12-19, but they are playing .500 basketball over their last 18 games. They last played on Tuesday, and picked up an impressive 131-130 victory over the Denver Nuggets, who are playing the final game on Christmas. Cooper Flagg will be the first No. 1 pick since LeBron James in 2003 to make his Christmas debut his rookie season. And he is coming off one of his best performances this season, dropping 33 points with nine rebounds and nine assists, including a poster dunk. Anthony Davis had 31 points and nine boards with three steals and Naji Marshall chipped in 15. Klay Thompson missed Tuesday’s game but is a game-time decision for Thursday with a knee injury. In four games against his former squad who he won four championships with, Thompson is averaging 19.8 points while shooting 47.7% from 3.
