The Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 6 isn’t just an ordinary conference title game, it is a matchup of the top two teams in the country as No. 1 Ohio State will battle No. 2 Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on FOX. Fans looking to watch this college football game can do so for free by using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial, or FuboTV, which also offers a free trial as well as up to $30 off your first month. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but has promotional offers available for streaming the game.

The Buckeyes are 12-0 and coming off their first win over rival Michigan since 2019. The defending national champions now look to capture their first Big Ten title since 2020, when Ohio State only played five games before the conference championship due to COVID.

Indiana has not won a conference title since 1967 when it split the Big Ten Championship with Minnesota and Purdue, but the Hoosiers got to make the trip to the Rose Bowl. Prior to that, Indiana’s only other conference title was in 1945 in the Western when the team went 9-0-1 and 5-0-1 in conference. This year’s Hoosiers are 12-0 and looking to add to their record-setting win total.

The quarterback matchup is between a couple Heisman hopefuls who might be able to cause one last swing among the voters depending on how this matchup goes. Ohio State has Julian Sayin behind center while Fernando Mendoza is taking snaps for Indiana. The Hoosiers have a senior at running back in Roman Hemby, while the Buckeyes are blocking for freshman Bo Jackson. On the outside, Ohio State has a dynamic duo on Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate while Indiana has its own pair of game-breakers in Omar Cooper Jr. and Elijah Sarratt, who both had 11 receiving touchdowns this season with Cooper Jr. also rushing for a score.

But the defenses are just as likely to steal the show as these are the top two scoring defenses in the nation with the Buckeyes only allowing 7.8 points a game and the Hoosiers giving up just 10.9 a contest. Ohio State is also first in yards allowed with 203 per game and first in passing offense while Indiana is fifth in total yards and third in rushing yards.
