There is one game on the Week 0 schedule that sees an FBS team taking on an FCS team and it takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas where the UNLV Rebels are hosting the Idaho State Bengals on Saturday, Aug. 23.

UNLV is coming off an 11-3 season that tied the program record for wins in a season, but with that success came some changes. Coach Barry Odom is gone and has been replaced with Dan Mullen, who was last a head coach at Florida, where he went 34-15 over four seasons before getting fired in 2021.
The squad will also have a new signal caller after the departure of last season’s starter, senior Hajj-Malik Williams. For the first game of the season, the Rebels are expected to give both Alex Orji and Anthony Colandrea a chance behind center.
