A couple of West Coast teams looking to climb from fourth in their division and get to fewer than 10 games behind first place meet up on Friday, July 11 to start a three-game series as the Los Angeles Angels host the Arizona Diamondbacks at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif.
This Friday Night Baseball game is scheduled to start at 9:38 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast exclusively on Apple TV+. The Angels are 45-48 and coming off a loss to the Texas Rangers that put them a half game behind their division foe for third in the AL West, and 10 games back of the Houston Astros.
The Diamondbacks are 10 games back of the Los Angeles Dodgers thanks to a loss to the third-place team in the NL West, the San Diego Padres. Just like the Angels, Arizona split a four-game series with the division rival just ahead in the standings, but the Diamondbacks have one more win than their weekend opponent and sit at 46-48.
