What’s opened and what’s closed on Patriots’ Day?

Patriots’ Day is the annual holiday that commemorates the first battle of the Revolutionary War.

The holiday, which is celebrated on the third Monday of April, isn’t just celebrated in Massachusetts. Five other states – Maine, Florida, Wisconsin, Connecticut and North Dakota – also celebrate the holiday too, according to USA Today.

In Massachusetts, Lexington and Concord – the towns where the Revolutionary War took place – usually have events that commemorate the war, such as battle reenactments, parades and walking tours.

Since Patriots’ Day is a statewide holiday and not a federal one, some state government buildings will be closed, while federal buildings will be open. Here’s a list of what is open and closed on April 15.
