The 2025 NHL Entry Draft is just a day away and the Boston Bruins soon will decide what to do with their first round pick.
Boston will pick seventh on Friday night so long as it doesn’t trade out of the spot. The Bruins also have extra draft picks from the Trent Frederic, Charlie Coyle and Brandon Carlo trades they made at this year’s deadline.
The Bruins have been connected to several centers in mock drafts, but general manager Don Sweeney said Wednesday they’re going to take “the best player.”
“I want to make sure our guys know we’re not trying to be myopic in how we view things,” he said. “To just say it’s center-based, or it’s skill-based or just a guy who can shoot a puck.
