Moolicious Farm has unveiled its new sweet treat — MooNugs at The Big E.
The new dessert may look like chicken nuggets, but that is not the case. It is actually little hunks of ice cream designed to look like the chicken nuggets so many know and love.
MooNugs are a frozen block of maple/bacon covered in white chocolate and then rolled in frosted corn flakes. It then gets served with your choice of dipping sauce: chocolate, caramel, maple or marshmallow.
While many might be apprehensive to try it, the snack is actually very good. Think of the perfect blend of sweet and savory, all in one cold, frosty bite.
The sauce, made to mimic traditional nugget dipping sauces like barbecue, is the perfect accent to pair with the food. Drizzle it on top or dunk it in its cup, the sauce complements the golden morsels perfectly.
You can get your own MooNugs located at Moolicious, located on Springfield Road and West Road. It costs $13.
The vendor is also home to the Moo Bomb, a soft-serve sundae in a waffle bowl that is served in a paper tray.
The Big E is located in West Springfield and takes place Sept. 12 through Sept. 28.
