BILLERICA – After more than 100 plays and nearly 48 minutes, the Division 3 football state tournament Elite 8 game between No. 10 Westfield and No. 2 Billerica came down to just a few seconds and one big play.
The Westfield High School football team stopped Billerica on a two-point attempt with less than a minute to play to escape eastern Massachusetts with a 34-33 victory Friday night at Billerica Memorial High School.
