Westfield School Committee approves simplified bullying report form

WESTFIELD — At its Aug. 25 meeting, the Westfield School Committee voted to approve changes to the reporting form of the bullying prevention and intervention program plan.

Christopher Rogers, director of operations and safety and Title IX coordinator for the district, told the School Committee that a few adjustments were made to the plan that they had approved last fall, the biggest change being to the bullying prevention incident reporting form to fill out online and in person. He said over the summer, Westfield Middle School Principal Jesse McMillan and his administrative team were looking at the form, which the district had been using for 10-15 years, and suggested changes to make it more user friendly.
