WESTFIELD — A city man is under arrest after police say he was found in possession of more than 200 grams of cocaine.
Westfield Police Detective Scott Schuster reported, in a court document, that an investigation which began in February culminated in a search and arrest on the evening of Aug. 30.
Schuster reports that officers surveilling Anthony Perez, 26, of 63 George St., Westfield, observed what appeared to be a drug transaction in his vehicle. A short time later, Schuster reports the police executed a search warrant. They found a variety of illegal items in plain view in the Chevrolet Malibu.
