WESTFIELD – A little pitching, dazzling defense, and timely hitting equaled one big championship for the Whip City’s Little League Majors.
Westfield scored two runs in the third inning and held off a feisty Longmeadow squad to win a 2-0 thriller and capture the Little League Baseball 12-Year-Old District 2 finals Tuesday night at Ralph E. Sanville Memorial Field.
