WESTFIELD — Community Development Director Peter Miller told a working group on Jan. 25 that he is ready to bring the concept of a Downtown Westfield Cultural District to the City Council for its endorsement before the formal submission to the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
Miller said he and members of Westfield on Weekends, ArtWorks Westfield, the Westfield Athenaeum, the Historical Commission, Westfield State University, Westfield Puerto Rican Association and others, including Uplifting Art and Elovate Art, have been working on the concept for the past year.
