Westfield council wants stormwater plan before approving contractor yard move

WESTFIELD — During a public hearing at the City Council on Dec. 7, Rob Levesque of R. Levesque Associates, on behalf of John Raymaakers and J.L. Raymaakers & Sons, presented the company’s plan to build a contractor’s yard and administrative offices on 4 acres on the corner of Falcon Drive and Progress Avenue, in the water resource district. The public hearing was continued to wait for comments on the stormwater plan from the Engineering Department.

Levesque said the proposal was before the City Council for two special permits, one for the water resource district and one for a contractor’s yard. He said the site was previously permitted for a different use by Elm Electric.
