Westfield board reviews planned Mainline Dr. contractor’s yard in floodplain

WESTFIELD — Ian Dudek, owner of the Crack Man asphalt maintenance company, is working to rehabilitate the vacant building at 103 Mainline Drive, Westfield, into a contractor’s yard. The former machine shop has been vacant for 15 years, he said, and he’s considering renting it out to another machine shop.

On June 11, he came in front of the city Conservation Commission with a plan to install gravel parking around the 5,000-square-foot building.
