Western Mass. man accused of trying to kill man in Springfield shooting

Springfield police have accused a 35-year-old man of trying to kill another man during a shooting that took place Monday morning.

Springfield resident Tory Bryant is facing charges of assault with intent to murder and three firearms offenses in connection with the shooting, Springfield police said in a press release.

Officers responded to Boston Road around 10:30 a.m. for a report of a gunshot victim, police said. They found the a man there with serious injuries from a gunshot wound, and he was taken to Baystate Medical Center.
