SPRINGFIELD — WBUR this month launched an eight-part podcast titled “The Gun Machine,” harkening back to the origins of the weapons industry in the U.S., the role of the government as it blossomed and the modern effects of guns on communities.
The series, produced by Boston’s NPR station, infuses the Springfield Armory’s history and the current state of state of gun violence in the city throughout the series.
