SOUTHWICK — To forge a connection with the rich history of farming in Southwick, nine farms will open their doors on Sunday to allow the public to see how their food gets from the fields to their tables to during the Agricultural Commission’s inaugural Farm Day event.
“We want to let folks know where their food comes from and the pride we take in it,” said Joe Calabrese, the manager of Calabrese Farms at 257 Feeding Hill Road, one of the participants in the Aug. 20 event, noon to 4 p.m.
