OXNARD, Calif. — Video shows a man pointing a gun at Oxnard officers, leading to an officer-involved shooting, KABC reported.

The Oct. 21 incident began when officers responded to reports of shots fired from a vehicle, according to the report. When officers arrived, they found the man near a residence, still armed.

According to investigators, the 34-year-old suspect refused to comply with orders to drop his firearm. He can later be seen pointing a handgun directly at officers.

Two officers opened fire, striking the man, according to the report. Officers then moved in to handcuff him and provide medical aid. He was transported to a hospital, where he is in stable condition. No one else was injured.

The two officers involved have been placed on administrative leave, per department protocol, as the investigation continues. Criminal charges against the suspect are pending, according to the report.
