WARE — Residents near Ware who are battling opioid addiction will have easier access to methadone thanks to a van bringing the treatment closer to home.
The van, which is only the fourth methadone van in the state and the first in Western Massachusetts, is operated by Behavioral Health Network. It will bring methadone to a rural area that was deemed “a methadone desert” by the behavioral health provider.
