The Valley Blue Sox lost on the road to the Mystic Schooners, 8-3 on Tuesday.
Jonathan Hogart collected three hits including two doubles for the Blue Sox and drove in a run, while Connor Misch added a solo home run, his second home run of the season. Andre Vidal also drove in a run with a double.
David Case struck out eight batters in five innings, allowing two earned runs before handing the ball to the bullpen. Jack Niedringhaus was credited with the loss as the Blue Sox surrendered their lead in the eighth and could not muster enough offense in the bottom of the ninth.
The Valley Blue Sox (15-16) remain on the road for their next game, taking on the North Adams SteepleCats on Wednesday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
