
The National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory at 2:50 a.m. on Thursday in effect until 8 a.m. for Northern Worcester and Southern Worcester as well as Franklin, Middlesex, Essex, Hampshire, Hampden, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.
The weather service says to prepare for, “Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
