An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Monday at 5:18 a.m. for lake effect snow until 6:15 a.m. for Berkshire County.
“At 5:17 a.m., a lake effect snow band was along a line extending from near New Ashford to Ames and moving southeast at 20 MPH,” states the weather service.
Locations impacted by the alert include Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Rotterdam, Cohoes, Watervliet, Rensselaer, Colonie, Latham, Delmar, Guilderland, Duanesburg, Menands, Voorheesville, Green Island, Berlin, Altamont, Sharon Springs, Delanson and New Ashford. This includes the following highways: Interstate 88 between exits 23 and 25. Interstate 90 between exits 9 and 25a. Interstate 890 between exits 7 and 9. Interstate 87 between exits 23 and 7. Interstate 787 between exits 1 and 9.
