
A man living in Milford was sentenced last month to three years in prison for selling several guns and ammunition without a license.
Vanderson Rocha Oliveira, 31, a Brazilian national, was sentenced by a federal judge in Massachusetts on Oct. 7. His sentencing includes three years in prison and two years of supervised release.
In July 2025, he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to engage in the business of dealing firearms without a license and one count of engaging in the business of dealing firearms without a license, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Massachusetts.
Between March and September 2024, Rocha Oliveira sold 11 guns to cooperating witnesses without the required license, officials said.
Three more guns were shipped from Florida that were intercepted by law enforcement.
Rocha Oliveira conspired with others to deliver the guns and to obtain them in Florida, officials said.
He also sold ammunition and magazines, some of which were large capacity magazines, officials said.
